Expansion looks like one of the Karakuri’s classic boxes but it has a suprising and different solution.
This design comes form Akio Kamei’s 2012 piece ‘Expansion I’ and as you would expect is finished to a very high standard.
Made from Maple, Keyaki, Wlanut and Black Cherry the box measures 80 x 80 x 80mm. There is an internal storage space of 31 x 31 x 28mm.
Please note this puzzle is affected by high humidity and shouldn’t be kept in such conditions.
