This is a classic optical illusion. Three wooden pieces sit side by side and it seems immediately obvious which piece is the largest.

Try moving the pieces though, suddenly everything is not quite so straight forward.

This is laser cut in the US and based on a design found at auction dating from the 1930s or 40s.

Very fun and likely to fool most people.
