Description
An unusual square shaped Japanese puzzle box. This one has beautiful, chequered pattern marquestry known as Ichimatsu. There are fourteen steps required to open the box and while finding the solution is not hard if you know how these boxes work it is still fun to play with.
Inside is a nice sized storage space that could used for a small gift or valuables.
Handmade in the Hakone region of Japan using traditional woodworking methods. Comes in a nice presentation box and includes the solution.
