Japanese Puzzle Box - Yui - 7 Steps

One of our favourite in the range of Japanese puzzle boxes.

This box named Yui, we are unsure as to the exact interpretation of this. Yui being a popular girl's name in Japan and deriving from Yu meaning tie/ bind or excellence/ superiority.

The top of the box has a wonderful design with two individuals watching from the cliffs as ships sail past the imposing Mount Fuji.

Seven steps are required to open this box and while not overly difficult to find the solution it is just a wonderful looking piece of art.
