PP Houdini Puzzle Box

I have seen a lot of puzzles of the "Escape Room" type and this is certainly one of the absolute best that will not bankrupt you. All the main brands have evolved the complexity and mechanisms but Potato Puzzle were the first to include electronics in something that is not hundreds of pounds. This is a sister puzzle to another Houdini box from iDventure and is a cleaner looking puzzle in terms of design but wow is it difficult. There is very little trial and error you can put into play here, it's very much a mystery box with things going on inside it. You have to solve the puzzles and codes and do a lot of working out with unexpected things to do rather than just work out where a couple of sliders go. The things to do are varied and so extremely clever and innovative that the joy of solving a stage is capped with the amazing things that happen. The first part, when I had an inkling of what had to be done had me thinking "Surely not, is that possible?" and what happed when I tried it was a massive surprise and delightful. The solutions do require pen and paper, lateral thinking and a lot of head scratching and even dexterity and skill. There are several electronic things that happen and the puzzle is charged by a solar panel but there is a panel that can be opened for a USB-C charging socket. An absolute joy to complete and a massive frustration actually getting there. I show the first solution to everyone that comes round because it's so cool and unexpected. It's a lot of money but I'm so glad I splashed out on this one. Brilliant.
